OhmSpice Beta (v1.0) release notes

Released September 22, 2026. Build and inspect circuits in the browser with OhmSpice Beta (v1.0).

Features, limits, supported models, storage behavior, and availability may change during the beta.

Build and simulate

  • Edit schematics with orthogonal wires, explicit junctions, net labels, ERC, and portable .ohm import and export.
  • Run Bias Point, DC Sweep, AC, and Transient analyses on SPICE Circuit sheets, then inspect results in Scope.
  • Create Spectrum views from transient results for frequency-domain analysis.
  • Create reusable SPICE or Circuit Parts in My Library and import textual vendor models.
  • Use Python scripts for analyses, sweeps, measurements, plots, and data exports.

Accounts, projects, and sharing

  • Build and simulate a local project without an account. Signed-out visitors can also open, edit locally, simulate, and export a public shared project.
  • Sign in to save cloud projects, use My Library and Manufacturer Parts, and create shares.
  • Choose Public or Private visibility. Private shares require the invited verified account; public shares can be opened without signing in.
  • Use Export all to download cloud projects as .ohm files and My Library Parts as .ohm-part.json files.
  • Delete your account from Account settings after exporting the data you want to keep.

Limitations

  • Manufacturer catalog access and cloud writes require a signed-in, verified account.
  • Vendor-model import accepts supported textual SPICE files. Encrypted, binary, executable, and externally dependent models are not accepted.
  • A model load check does not certify behavioral accuracy. Test an imported model in a representative circuit before relying on it.
  • Python scripts are trusted project code. Review unfamiliar source before choosing Trust and run.
