Access the catalog
Sign in, open the Library panel, and select Manufacturer.
Catalog access is not a source-file license. A catalog listing may link to a model without providing its files. Download those files from the vendor and follow the vendor’s license terms.
Find a Part
- Open the Library panel and select Manufacturer.
- Search by part number, manufacturer, category, or alias in Search Manufacturer Parts.
- Use Browse by to switch between Categories and Manufacturers, or choose Open full search for a broader result list.
- Select a result to check its part number, manufacturer, model, pin mapping, and source links.
The full search dialog is named Manufacturer Part Searchand uses the Search Manufacturer Parts field. Broaden the search if the result list shows No matching Manufacturer Parts.
Inspect a Part
Select a result to open its detail view. The detail view shows the Part’s available specifications, pin mapping, supported analyses, and source links. Review those details before downloading or importing model files.
| Detail | What to use it for |
|---|---|
| Part number and manufacturer | Confirm that the result is the device you intend to place. |
| Category and aliases | Find related results and understand the catalog classification. |
| Model and analyses | Check how the Part is modeled and which analyses it supports. |
| Pin mapping | Check that the model terminals match the symbol ports you expect to wire. |
| Official source link and terms | Read the vendor's download instructions and any available license notice. |
Download and import the model
- Open the official source link shown for the Part and read the vendor's acquisition terms.
- Download the model file from the vendor, then return to the Part detail view.
- Choose the action shown for that Part, such as Download model files, Open manufacturer model page, Choose downloaded file, or I already have the file.
- Finish the import review and save the resulting Part to My Library. See Vendor model import for the full steps.
The imported Part is saved to My Library. Later library changes do not alter a Part already placed in a project.
Model licenses and limitations
- Signing in does not grant permission to mirror, redistribute, or edit a vendor's source.
- Encrypted, binary, executable, or externally dependent model content is not accepted by the vendor import flow.
- A model that loads in the simulator still needs testing in a representative circuit. See SPICE compatibility.
